Ryan sat in the rehearsal studio jamming on his bass for a long time today. Tom had laid down a track earlier with Critter, their engineer, that had an extremely catchy tune that was kind of airy and open. Tonight they wanted to add bass to give the song some soul, so Ryan sat listening to the track and started freestyling on his bass. It was amazing to hear him completely on his own, just getting into the music. The notes he was playing were reminiscent of Tool.. very cool. Will be interesting to see how the song unfolds in the recording process.
