Following last month’s tragic incident, and the subsequent temporary closure of the main area outside the venue, Manchester Arena has no other option than to cancel Blink-182’s forthcoming concert on Friday 14 July.
We apologise for not being able to stage this event and for the inconvenience caused to Blink-182’s Manchester fans.
The promoters have urged fans keep hold of their tickets while they discuss suitable alternatives with the band.
Fans will be contacted by their respective ticket agents with more information as soon as they have it. Please also keep an eye on Blink-182’s social accounts for more information.
The video for “Home is Such a Lonely Place” was probably the easiest we’ve ever filmed. All we had to do was be ourselves at home with our family and friends, as we prepared to leave for tour. Consequently, it’s also our most personal and honest videos, and one of my favorites.
It is with heavy hearts that we have to announce three of our European Summer shows need to be rescheduled. When we booked the tour last year, we were confident that we would be able to make the whole run work. However, we are now further limited in our ability to travel and will have to find a time to reschedule in the near future. Apologies to all of our fans who have bought tickets and were looking forward to these shows but we'll be back soon. Thanks for all of the continued support and understanding. The shows affected are:
- June 21st — SWEDEN Grona Lund Tivoli
- June 22nd — NORWAY Tons Of Rock
- June 28th — DENMARK Roskilde Festival
The full list of European/UK tour dates can be found at www.blink182.com.
All other European/UK shows remain unaffected and we look forward to seeing you all soon! Thank you.
Parents, alumni and faculty watched musical performers, took pictures and danced in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the first graduating class after the merger yesterday at the Middle School.
Parent musicians also performed for the attendees in the Bing Performing Arts Center, including Mark Hoppus (Jack ’20) and Matt Skiba from Blink-182 and violinist and Associate Concertmaster of LA Philharmonic Bing Wang (Anna ’18, Andrew ’21). Songwriter Billy Steinberg (Ezra ’15) also performed his written songs including “Like a Virgin” and “I Touch Myself” with Lauren Ruth Ward and Eddie Rivera.
UG exclusive: "The songs were good. It was cool but it didn't sound like Blink."
Think of your favorite song from Enema of the State. Now think of your favorite song from California. Now imagine them falling in love and starting a family of their own. That's what this song is.
@travisbarker and I had a good conversation today, this time it was a bit more serious and not just a crazy photo that I get suckered into.
Nothing breaks the ice during a first date better than bringing along Blink 182 and Linkin Park.
This is the strangest song blink have ever recorded. It's in 6/8 time. It's aggressive & one of our favorites from the deluxe because of it.
