A couple of months ago we got the first trailer for “Love” the AVA feature film and THIS weekend it gets it’s Seattle debut at the Seattle International Film Festival.

Travis, laying down ideas for a song we just worked on.

Working, working, working. Some of the best stuff has been written in the past two days, if I do say so ourselves.

We're all here working on new songs. Travis is recording drums, Tom's writing a guitar part, I'm holding down the couch. blink-182 life. For life.

Hi everyone. My name is Mark. One of my favorite parts of the recording process is when Travis plays on a song idea that Tom or I have written, and takes it to a whole different level. Someplace neither Tom nor I would ever envision. That, along with a lot of press, is what we've been working on the past couple of weeks. Great progress on a lot of songs. More new ideas are still being written. Good stuff

Blink-182 announced their reunion at the Grammys in 2009, and ever since they’ve been hard at work on a new album. For their still-rabid fans, the band completed an American tour and a European tour, making the reformation real.

Enter Haven Lamoureux and his production company Handsome Randsome (HND$M*RND$M). After years of working alongside Blink drummer Travis Barker, Lamoureux approached the band about filming a documentary to capture the resurrection of this timeless, intriguing band. Thus “The Blinkumentary” was born.

I sat with Lamoureux, the film’s director, to discuss the documentary from conception to near completion. Blink-182 fans rejoice, because the film is just edits away from release, and it sounds like we are on the cusp of something epic.

Showdown at the studio. Me vs the blank page. I've been working on a new song for the past week. I think it's going to be something special. I recorded the guitars and bass, arranged it, and now it needs words. Great words. I have ONE line so far. "the shadow of a helicopter." We'll see where it takes us...

As for the status of The Blinkumentary. We are making a few changes to the film as requested by the band and are awaiting a few more notes. Once received, we make those changes and the finishing touches of the sound mix, color correction and mastering.
