Why blink-182's "California" feels like home
Mark Hoppus, Travis Barker and Matt Skiba discuss the new era of the pop-punk trio at an intimate celebration in Los Angeles.
Blink-182 has a new single, “Bored To Death,” a new album, California, and a summer tour with A Day To Remember, All-American Rejects and All Time Low. The trio, which now features Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba joining Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus, celebrated all of this exciting news with a karaoke party Thursday night at L.A.’s Blind Dragon.
In a hectic mix of open bar, video cameras and robust karaoke the three members of the band–which has sold over 35 million albums worldwide, including 15 million of Enema Of The State and 14 million of its follow up, Take Off Your Pants and Jacket–sat down with us in one really strange private room to discuss their first album in five years and why they are taking it back to the beginning for this upcoming tour.
